State volleyball championships are underway in Casper at the Ford Wyoming Center.

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Day one of the state volleyball championships began in Casper at the Ford Wyoming Center. All four classifications began to play on Thursday, and state champions will be crowned on Saturday afternoon.

All schools will be in action on Friday again regardless of Thursday’s results, and every school will have a chance to play for third place.

1A Results:

Southeast (3) over Saratoga (0)

Kaycee (3) over Little Snake River (0)

The two winners will face each other on Friday at 4:30 p.m with a chance to secure a spot in the state championship match.

2A Results:

Big Horn (3) over Shoshoni (0)

Shoshoni will take on Rocky Mountain at 1 p.m.

3A Results:

Lyman (3) over Douglas (0)

Lander (3) over Burns

Douglas will take on Buffalo at 1 p.m. Burns will face off against Newcastle at 2:30 p.m.

Lander will meet Mountain View at 6 p.m.

4A Results:

Natrona County (3) over East

Kelly Walsh (3) over Rock Springs

Laramie (3) over Cody

East will face Rock Springs at 2:30 p.m.

Laramie will play Thunder Basin, who beat Star Valley on Thursday, at 4:30 p.m with a state title berth on the line.

Kelly Walsh and Natrona County will square off at 6 p.m., and the winner will advance to the state championship game.

Play will resume for all classification at the Ford Wyoming Center on Friday at 1 p.m.
