CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - If the cooler weather has you thinking about skiing at Hogadon, you’re not alone, and the city is getting ready for the winter favorite.

Pre-season day skiing passes went on sale earlier this month. Hogadon is also preparing to add something new this season: night skiing. Night skiing can be added on to a season pass for an additional rate. Night skiing with happen Friday and Saturday nights for three to eight.

City officials plan to host a fall fest on November 13th to get the community ready for the winter season and Hogadon staff is already preparing the ski runs.

“So we are very fortunate we are able to make snow as well. We do have snow guns and we make our own snow. So even though we may not get a ton of snow if the temperatures are right, we’re able to make what we need to, open some runs, and get open. It’s one of the great things about Hogadon,” said Beth Andress, the city marketing and communications director.

City officials hope to have Hogadon opened by the first week of December.
