Showers Across The State

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

The cloudy conditions have continued today from yesterday. As this cold front system gets ready to move in, there will be more cloud coverage and an increase in rain/snow chances late this afternoon. On the radar, the line of rain and snow showers are along the center of the state and are slowly progressing to the East.

As this system continues to push to the East, the rain and snow showers will begin in the eastern half of the state. Snow will likely stay in the center of the state for a while before continuing to push to the East. The rain showers will move along a bit quicker and will reach the southeastern corner this afternoon. The showers will stick around for a few hours, then continuing moving East. As the system continues moving East, there is a chance of a few snow showers in Cheyenne.

The system will clear out of state late this evening. Winds will continue to be breezy overnight and into tomorrow. Skies along the eastern border will stay clear for much of the day tomorrow. Into the early evening tomorrow, clouds will move back in creating partly cloudy conditions throughout the night.

Smoke is staying very light or clear over the next couple of days. Because of the smoke staying so light, there has not been an Air Quality Warning in several weeks. There are other types of watches, warnings, or advisories occurring today. In the southeastern corner, there is a High Wind Warning. The High Wind Warning is in Albany, Laramie, and Platte Counties through Tuesday (tonight) at 6PM. There is also a Winter Weather Advisory in Albany and Carbon Counties until Wednesday (tomorrow) at 12AM.

High temperatures today have a wide range. The temperatures are ranging from the 30s to the lower 60 degree temperatures. Tonight, low temperatures will drop into the 20s and 30s. Tomorrow, temperatures will begin the slight increase. High temperatures tomorrow will be in the 40s and 50s. Over the next couple of days, temperatures will continue climbing back towards the 60s.
