Cold Front Moving In
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Clouds have been seen across the state this morning. These clouds will continue pushing in state from the West and moving to the East. Rain and snow showers are getting ready to move in behind all of the clouds this afternoon and overnight.
Clouds and rain will move along the western border this afternoon and will stick around the western half of the state through this evening. Early tomorrow morning, the cold front system will continue moving towards the eastern border. The rain will push ahead of the snow. Snow will stay in the center of the state, while the rain moves ahead to the eastern border. From there, it will slowly continue moving to the East.
Smoke is staying clear over the next several days. Wind speeds are picking up though. The south and central portion of the state is under a High Wind Warning. This warning is in effect until Monday (tonight) at 9PM. There are partial road closures due to these high winds for light and high profile vehicles on WY 28. There is also a Winter Weather Advisory in the west of Wyoming, staying in effect until Tuesday at 12PM.
High temperatures today are continuing to feel comfortable. High temperatures across the state are in the 50s to 70s. Tonight, those temperatures will fall into the 30s and 40s. Tomorrow’s temperatures will be slightly cooler statewide. As this cold front system moves through the state, it will also cool temperatures off. High temperatures tomorrow will be in the 30s to the 50s.
