CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Are you a fan of theme parks? Regardless, we have one roller coaster of a forecast coming over the next few days. Starting off today, we saw very nice fall-like conditions. Temperatures were seasonable, a few clouds were in the sky and there was a nice breeze. Coming up tomorrow, we have a cold front starting to move in from the west. When that happens, we expect temperatures to begin to drop and some showers, storms and snow to be coming in. This time, it will be a little delayed. The Jetstream will be almost vertical causing very warm air from the south the move in front of the system with the colder air following behind it. What it means is that we can see temperatures tomorrow take a sharp jump upward with a surprising amount of 70s in the forecast. With the Jetstream being that defined too, wind gusts will pick up significantly tomorrow from the south and the southwest.

The wind alone will be enough for the Wyoming Department of Transportation to shut down some roads and interstates for high profile vehicles. This’ll help to fuel to the storms and snow being pushed by the front too. The good news is there doesn’t seem to be a big impact from any storms until Tuesday, and even then the Storm Prediction Center does not have any chances of severe weather for the next three days. Snow too will most likely stick to the mountains as temperatures are not expected to drop down to levels below freezing during the daytime.

Tonight, temperatures will be on the warmer side with the lows sticking around the upper 30s and lower 40s across the region. Tomorrow, clouds will be increasing and we will see lots of gusty winds, especially in the central regions of the state. Temperatures will shoot up a good 10-15 degrees from what we saw today with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Tuesday is when we can expect a drop in temperatures to more seasonable levels with 40s and 50s for the highs.
