LARAMIE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Laramie (1-7) and Cheyenne Central (1-7) meet in the Wyoming News Now Friday Frenzy Game of the Week. It’s a “win and you’re in” scenario as both teams fight to extend their season into the playoffs.

Laramie won its first game of the season last week in a 42-19 victory over Cheyenne South. It was also was the first win in the Coach Ronga Era.

“We beat South finally and like actually got it done, got the job done. Now we’re going against Central now,” said Laramie Senior Christopher Alvarez. “Now, it’s full-on just…beat them. We can beat them. No doubt about it.”

The win over South was huge because it set up what is essentially a play-in game against Cheyenne Central, who also has a (1-7) record.

“Well right now this is our playoff game,” said Laramie Senior Paul Crater. “This is the most important game to us right now because if we secure this game we get to the actual playoffs so this right now is the most important game for us.”

LHS and Central kickoff from Riske Field on Friday at 6 p.m.
