CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - We are beginning to warm up going into the afternoon hours. The winds are strong but it will calm down by the weekend. The cold front is moving well outside of our area and being replaced by warmer air coming up from the south. This will help clear up any of the remaining clouds and showers in the state and replace our cold temperatures with much more seasonable ones.
It’s also the fact that we have a high pressure system moving in from the west. From this, wind will be picking up, mostly for the southern regions of the state. This will make sure that our skies are clear allowing to sun to come through and warm us up. As a result, it looks to be an excellent weekend ahead to spend time outdoors. Just remember to pack a bottle of water because the air will be dry. By the beginning of next week, there looks to be another cold front moving through going into Monday and Tuesday. Clouds will begin building with the chances for strong winds, isolated storms, and some snow showers. Temperatures will drop once more before clearing up again by the second half of the week.
Until then, the overnight hours will be mostly clear for the entire state as the clouds move out. Temperatures will drop wo below freezing for about half the cities while the others may see the 40s in the forecast. Tomorrow, it begins warming up again with a lot more 60s in the forecast. Take advantage of the nice, fall like weekend.
