Heading Towards A Warmer Weekend

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

There are still some clouds hanging out around Wyoming today. The southeastern corner is starting to clear out those clouds heading into the afternoon. Clouds and snow can be seen on the radar and satellite, especially in the northwestern corner along the mountain peaks.

Skies will continue to clear out heading into this evening. Wind speeds are staying breezy today. Wind speeds are estimated to get into the upper 20 miles per hour. Clear skies and breezy conditions will continue in this fashion through the overnight hours. A High Wind Watch is staying in effect until Saturday at 6AM. Tomorrow, skies will remain clear but the wind speeds will calm down.

Smoke levels are clear or in random light pockets throughout the southern half of the state.

Temperatures today have slightly warmed up from earlier this week. Across the state, high temperatures are in the 40s today. If headed to any football games around the state tonight, a blanket or jacket might be a good suggestion. Tonight, low temperatures will return to the teens, 20s, and 30s. Tomorrow, temperatures will significantly warm up. High temperatures tomorrow will be in the 50s and 60s. These temperatures will feel great if heading to Laramie for the college’s football game. Warmer temperatures will stick around through the weekend and into the beginning of next week, before another temperature drop appears.
