CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Greenway is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and the City of Cheyenne is looking to start two new projects.

The first project will be an underpass that will connect the LCCC and the Sweetgrass properties. This project will start in the next two weeks and will be done next spring.

The second is a Greenway connection through Lions Park, along Carey Avenue and Kennedy, which is expected to be done by mid-summer.

Additional projects include adding way-finding signs which will start next year.

The city has also just purchased 5.75 acres for a future Greenway expansion project, connecting the Sun Valley Greenway to the East Park Property.

“I just think that what we have up here...We have 45 miles of Greenway which is just a remarkable amount of Greenway for a city our size,” said Jean Vetter, Parks and Greenway Planner, City of Cheyenne.

The City of Cheyenne will also replace the pumps, at the Dry Creek U.S. 30 crossing over the winter.
