JACKSON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Nineteen days after Rylee McCollum was killed in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan, his daughter, Levi Rylee McCollum, was born.

The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is providing a college scholarship to his child. The Foundation helps children of service members who were killed in the line of duty by funding their college experience and providing endless mentor-ship.

As Jackson homeowners, Cynthia and David Kim, the founders, are grateful to have the chance to help this family. They hope this opportunity allows Levi to feel supported as she grows up by the organization and the entire country. The foundation is committed to helping Levi and the country keep her father’s memory alive, as well as the others who lost their lives that day.

“We can honor his legacy, provide a bright future for his daughter that he would’ve wanted for her, but years from now she will feel him with her. She will know that Americans got behind her and wanting to make sure she has the best life possible,” said Cynthia Kim.

Children of Fallen Patriots has provided over 50 million dollars in support of over 2100 military children.
