Fall for the Weekend
1 October 2021
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - This cold front has done wonders for our weather. The temperatures are right where they are supposed to be for this time of year, most of the rain is out of the region entirely, and the easterly winds are helping to keep the worst of the smoke away. Temperatures around the state were in the 60s and 70s. Condition wise, most of the state saw those clear skies while the southeast has some cloud cover. Other than that, the smoke is mostly calm too, thanks to the winds mostly coming coming from the east, blowing the smoke away from the west.
In the forecast for tomorrow, there are still expected to be little pockets sneaking through prompting some new air quality warnings, but nothing more. The cold front that passed through is continuing to bring lots of showers and storms throughout the central United State and will continue to move east out of our way. There is another cold front way up in the Pacific Northwest. It’ll take a while to come down, but it should hit sometime late next week bringing some rain and possible cooler temperatures. It is too far out to be able to predict anything accurately beyond that.
Tonight’s lows look to be a bit warmer than what we have seen over the past few nights. No frost advisories or freeze warnings to worry about this time. Tomorrow, expect similar temperatures and conditions as we saw today. Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. It looks to be an excellent weekend for any outdoor activities like walking the park. Just be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
