Volunteer Wyoming Offers Seniors Safe Opportunities To Give Back to Community
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Wyoming’s senior community is being offered a safe and helpful way to connect with their community through volunteer work with Volunteer Wyoming. They offer this through their Retired and Senior Volunteer Program or R.S.V.P for short. The R.S.V.P accepts seniors of all skills and qualifications to volunteer for the program.
There are many different volunteering opportunities offered. There are even programs that allow seniors to volunteer from home by answering phone calls or contact tracing for the organization. For more outgoing volunteers though there are ample opportunities to help on sites such as vaccine clinics and even working for non-profit gardens.
Volunteers are also not required to work multiple events or keep a schedule. Volunteer Wyoming allows for one time jobs such as handing out waters at non-profit events.
The R.S.V.P has also partnered with the local Casper community college to allow senior volunteers to mentor and assist students.
