Coolest Day Of The Week

Showers and clouds continued pushing through the state today. This frontal system is still continuing to push towards the East and Northeast. This morning, there were lots of showers across the center of the state. Now, the southeastern corner has cleared of most showers and the northeastern corner is finishing them off. These showers will continue to rain as the system continues clearing out of state.
Wind speeds have been quite breezy this morning. The eastern half of the state has definitely the majority of the breezy conditions. Wind speeds in certain cities have been above 20 miles per hour. These winds are increased to help move the system out of the state. The western half of Wyoming has remained fairly calm, with scattered areas seeing picked up wind speeds.
As this system continues moving out, clouds will be left behind as the rain chance dissipates overnight. Clouds will stick around through tomorrow, though not as heavily as what is seen today. Through tomorrow, the clouds will remain in partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions. Tomorrow’s overnight hours is when the clouds will begin to clear the most.
Smoke is heaviest today is in the western half of the state, with a heavier pocket just to the East of Jackson. Tomorrow afternoon, the heavier smoke conditions will stay with in the southwestern corner of Wyoming. By tomorrow night, most of the western half of the state will see the smoke conditions once again.
With the smoke sticking around the western half of the state, there is another Air Quality Warning today. This Air Quality Warning does take up a majority of the western half. This warning is in effect until Tuesday (today) at 1PM.
Today’s temperatures are the coolest they will be this week. High temperatures today are only in the 40s and 50s! Today is quite a chilly day. Tonight, the low temperatures will cool off further into the 20s and 30s. Most of the 20 degree low temperatures will be in the western half of Wyoming. Temperatures tomorrow will heat up slightly. High temperatures across the state will be in the 60s. So temperatures will be comfortable, but also a bit warmer.
