Another Change In Temperatures
This time...cool to warm.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Everything started off cool and clear this morning. As the afternoon hours roll in, more clouds will move in as well. These clouds will be light and scattered. The clouds will move in fast and will continue moving out just as quickly.
There will be clear skies overnight. Through tomorrow morning, the skies will continue to be clear through the early afternoon. Later tomorrow afternoon, a system of clouds will push across the state from the west. The clouds will bring scattered showers to the western half of the state and consistent cloud coverage to the eastern half.
Smoke is heaviest today along the southwestern border. Evanston and Jackson are experiencing the heaviest of today’s smoke. Tonight, that heavier pocket of smoke will push to the northwestern corner. Rawlins, Riverton, and Casper will become included in experiencing the heavier smoke. Saturday afternoon, the heavy smoke will wrap around the northern border. This will leave lighter smoke conditions in state. These lighter conditions will continue into Sunday.
There is another broad area of Fire Weather Warning across the state today. This Fire Weather Warning is in effect until 8PM Friday night (tonight). Along the eastern border, there are a couple of areas will Fire Weather Watches. In the southeastern corner, this area of the watch is in effect until 8PM Saturday night. In the northeastern corner, that area of the watch is in effect until 9PM Saturday night.
Temperatures have been a little all over the place this week. Yesterday was warm, but today is cooler. Across the state, high temperatures today are in the 70s and lower 80s. Tonight, the low temperatures will cool into the 40s and 50s. This weekend, another round of warmer temperatures can be expected. More cities will see high temperatures in the lower 90s, especially in the eastern half of the state.
