CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The John P. Ellbogen Foundation is providing a chance for non-traditional students to be awarded some money for higher education.

Students can qualify for this scholarship if they are 24 or older and have lived in Wyoming for at least three years. Becca Steinhoff, the executive director, said this is a way for people to continue their education if they grew out of their Hathaways Scholarship and grew up in the state.

“We are thinking of Wyoming residents who did not access that opportunity and would like a chance to continue their education,” Steinhoff said. Each of the Wyoming community colleges has $100,000 to give out to students. Students will be awarded no more than $1,500 per semester for no more than two academic years.

Applications are due September 15. Community members can find the scholarship application here.
