CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Classes have begun for the three students attending Raniey Dell Elementary. The director said she started earlier than Natrona County School District so they could end around Memorial Day.

Jodi Shelton, the director, said she enjoys helping kids who can’t handle the traditional school setting. “It’s good to get back into the classroom and I like helping kids who might not have made it without me,” Shelton said.

Shelton is teaching a third, fourth and fifth-grader this year. She said she is willing to take in two more students if families feel their kid might need more one-on-one help.

Shelton values a hands-on learning experience and is excited to help her current students catch up. “My goal is to get them back where they need to be because I want them to function in the regular school system and that’s just not the way I’m set up right now,” Shelton said.
