CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Casper Christian School hosted their first back to school night and dedication ceremony Thursday evening.

Casper Christian School is the first Non-Denominational Christian secondary school in the city. The school will serve students with core classes, electives, and a bible class. Casper Christian School will start their first year with 32 students.

“I’m just so excited to be in the first year and creating the foundation for something that might be one of the greatest things that Casper has ever seen,” said Allee Harrison, the math teacher at Casper Christian School.

The dedication ceremony featured speeches from school officials and a ribbon cutting. Senator John Barrasso was also in attendance and spoke at the ceremony, welcoming the school to the community.

“More important than the education is the character of the people. And that’s what this school is doing. It is helping to establish and develop the character of these young people,” said Senator John Barasso.
