CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

The day is off to a beautiful start, especially for a first day back in school in Laramie County. Skies are partly cloudy, but mostly sunny. Radar and satellite are clear, with very light clouds throughout the Cowboy State. After cooler temperatures and rainy days, the forecast for this week is back to normal.

With the mostly sunny day ahead of us, there is a chance of having a few scattered showers across the southeastern corner. These showers will be very light and random. These few showers will not help with the smoke, like the last system. Smoke is moving back into the state, though mostly staying in the northern half of the state. Heavy pockets will make their way into the southeast Tuesday afternoon.

Temperatures began heating up after the cool down brought by the cold front. The rain and consistent cloud coverage allowed for temperatures to stay relatively cool. After the system moved out, the temperatures quickly increased back into the 80s. This week, those temperatures are going to continue. Mid to upper 80 degree temperatures are going to maintain through until the weekend.

We will continue seeing temperatures in the mid 80s for most of the state this week.
