CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -Laramie County School District 1 held their Board of Trustees meeting on Monday and Tuesday.

They spoke about various topics, including updates to the Smart Start program for the new year and what masking in school could look like.

A mask announcement would be made on the 20th.

The 100 Days plan got an update. They talked about their WIT Wisdom literacy curriculum and took public comments around literacy content, evaluations, protocols, and parental communications.

“I think the most important thing is our community needs to know we absolutely are listening, that we value their input and an opportunity to share and will be moving forward with plans based on their feedback, “said Dr. Margaret Crespo, Superintendent, LCSD1.

This morning included training for LCSD1′s crisis communications plan with staff and administrators for the coming year.

This is a plan for emergencies and is a cohesive school plan for ways to communicate with families.
