One More Day Before Things Change

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

The past couple of days, temperatures and smoke have been the big stories to talk about. The temperatures have been described as hot once again, especially with temperatures pushing back into the triple digit border over the past two days. The smoke gave a break, but returned with a vengeance this week with heavy and thick smoke throughout the state. As far as the forecast goes, today is the peak day of the week for hottest temperatures and smoke conditions. The forecast is about to change, for the good.

The smoke is about to lighten up quite a bit as the next two days approach. By tomorrow afternoon, the heaviest of the smoke will be along the southwestern border and a small, heavy pocket to the west of Sheridan. The rest of the state will see lighter smoke conditions.

Going into Thursday, much of the center portions of the state will not have any smoke. The heaviest areas on Thursday for smoke will be in the southwest corner. The southeast corner will have very smoke conditions. With help from the system moving in through Wednesday.

Temperatures today are hot! Tomorrow, temperatures will begin to drop. The Cowboy State will have a wide variety of high temperatures on Wednesday. The southeast will be the warmest portion of the state. And temperatures going towards the end of the week will continue dropping into the low 70s for the southeast corner.
