CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Respect our River committee is seeing many empty loaner stations. The Respect our River committee maintains loaner stations around the city near the North Platte River.

Volunteers monitor stations to make sure they all have roughly 10 to 15 life jackets. Respect our River is reminding citizens to make sure they return life jackets after they have been used.

“When they can supply life jackets, donated life jackets, to citizens that are in need and they actually get to put them to good use and make sure that they’re safe on the river, I imagine that that’s incredibly important to them just like being able to help people is incredibly helpful to us,” said Andrew Sundell, the Casper Fire Department Public Information Officer.

You can also return life jackets to fire stations across the city.
