CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

In the southeast corner of the state, the radar and satellite shows clouds moving out towards the south east. As we continue further into the day more clouds will begin moving in, as there is a large system of clouds and showers in the western half of the state. Showers are for the most part staying along the western border this morning. Tuesday and Wednesday, a week warm front is going to move east across the state and that it help carry a lot of these clouds over to the eastern border.

Today we are having a beautiful day! The sun is out and there are only a few clouds in the sky. Tomorrow, that is going to change as the system pushes east across the state. Heavier cloud coverage and showers are likely in the afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has a General Thunderstorm Risk placed within the state tomorrow. Gusty winds and heavy rain are possible with any showers that come through the area.

High temperatures today will be ranging in the 70s to 90s. The western border will be in the 70s. The southern half will see temperatures in the 80s. The northeast corner will have temperatures in the 90s. The chance of rain and increased cloud cover will help to cool things off one more time before we really enter into the week. Tomorrow’s temperatures are going to be slightly cooler than today’s. 70 and 80 degree temperatures will be statewide. The eastern border is going to be the warmest spot , being in the low to mid 90s.

We are going to cool down one more time with help from the rain and clouds tomorrow.

Watches and Warnings are the tricky part to our start this week. Air Quality maintains to be an issue with wildfires throughout the United States and Canada. The eastern half of the state is taken up by an Air Quality Warning. It is in effect until Monday (today) at 1PM, though it will likely be extended. After the weekend of statewide showers, continued showers today are allowing the threat of flash floods to continue. Flash Flood Watches are placed in the western half of the state until Monday (today) at 11PM.
