CASPER, Wyo. (PRESS RELEASE) - Local Natrona County First Responders are coming together tomorrow, Saturday, July 31st, to support Natrona County SafeRide in a charity softball game.

The charity softball game begins at 4:30pm at Mike Lansing Field in Casper. Tickets start at $16 and include admission to the Casper Horseheads Baseball game as well as an all-you-can-eat family-style picnic. SafeRide offers bar and restaurant patrons within Natrona County a free and safe option for a sober ride home. This service is available at most establishments within Natrona County and partners with local cab companies to provide free, sober rides back to a user’s residence. The service is available 24/7 by calling 307-266-7233 and remains free through the fundraising efforts of the Natrona County Alcohol Task Force.

The Task Force is thrilled to collaborate with local first responders to raise money for SafeRide. First responders with the Casper Police Department and Casper Fire-EMS along with many other local agencies will be playing in a softball game.

SafeRide is funded through the Natrona County Alcohol Task Force, a 501(3)(C) organization. The task force is made up of local law enforcement agencies along with local bar, restaurant and taxi services. The mission of the Natrona County Alcohol Task Force is to increase awareness of the dangers and realities of drunk driving and put an end to drunk driving in Natrona County.

The task force meets on a monthly basis to review DUI statistics within Natrona County as well as monitor SafeRide voucher usage per establishment. The meetings help to facilitate open and honest conversation between law enforcement agencies and bar and restaurant owners in regard to drunk driving concerns and prevention. Learn more at
