CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Representing the United States Navy for Cheyenne Frontier Days, Vice-Admiral Sean Buck was out today, at the Depot Plaza, for the pancake breakfast this morning.
“Well, I’m trying to get my cowboy on, and I’m doing that this morning wearing this beautiful cowboy hat... We’re hoping to meet all the different people that represent the great state of Wyoming, in higher education, in the government, in industry. We actually had a lot of United States Navy sailors stationed out here, so we’re out here to say Hi,” said Vice Admiral Sean Buck Of The U.S. Navy
Despite Wyoming being a land-locked state, the naval academy wants to help bring attention and recruitment to the great plains.
Vice-Admiral Buck, and the Navy, will be out this week in the CFD parade and the botanical gardens with their Naval band and a virtual reality display.
With representatives in every state, they want to greet local sailors and make sure everybody knows what the U.S. Navy can do for them.
“Right out of bootcamp I went to the guard, and so we render all the full honors for military funeral in Arlington National Cementary. Anything presidential we do that for the Navy,” said William Hoffman, U.S. Navy Seaman and Ceremonial Guard from Wyoming.
Military Monday is happening today at Cheyenne Frontier Days and Navy week from July 26th To August 1st.
