CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Before community members gas up the car for a summer road trip, it’s important to make sure your whole car is ready to go. Chuck Morris, a local mechanic explains how a small problem can become big.

Mechanics at Chuck’s auto repair can fix almost anything. Chuck Morris, the owner, said Google recommends his shop to tourists because he’s listed as a transmission specialist. Morris says he’s helped quite a few people get back home.

“We get a lot, especially in the summer. I imagine it has to do with the heat and the fact that not many people traveled last year,” Morris said. Morris said sometimes people also forget about changing the car’s fluids.

“Especially on the highway, we recommend changing it in 35,000 to 50,000 intervals,” Morris said. Getting the car checked before a long trip can be less of a problem during the trip.

“You may not catch everything, but you can prevent a $200 bill from becoming a $2,000 bill,” Morris said. Morris added it’s rewarding for him to gain trust from people from out of town. “It’s nice when you get someone from out of town who doesn’t know anyone here and I can instill trust in them,” Morris said.

Morris’ shop is open from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 260 Del Mar St. #3 in Mills.
