Opera Wyoming presents Pauline Viradot’s Cendrillon this weekend
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Opera Wyoming is preparing for their second annual Opera on the Farm this weekend.
Last year, Opera Wyoming had to find a way to be creative with performances due to the pandemic. They created this outdoor setting and found it to be an intimate performance for the audience and actors.
Opera Wyoming wanted to use this outdoor setting again this year to help the audience feel the connection.
This hour-long French interpretation of Cinderella features actors from across the region. They are grateful to share this show with the Casper community after a year that prevented many people from performing.
“Well we’re kind of like an in between season right now where people can get out and perform. The same for our audience too. They can get out and see a live show. So we’re just very happy that we are able to do this,” said Daniel Quintana, the Artistic Director for Opera Wyoming.
The show opens Friday, July 23rd at 7:30 pm. Performances continue Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. The Sunday matinee may be moved to the the Lyric in downtown Casper if temperatures become too high.
Tickets can be purchased here or at the door. General admissions is $15 and students, seniors, and veterans pay $10.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks to enjoy while watching the show.
