It Is Going To Be Hot!
All week, we will be seeing hot temperatures.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
The radar and satellite started so clear this morning. Across the state, there were no observed clouds or precipitation. To our west in Idaho, there were plenty of clouds and showers. Today is going to be a very clear day. In the sky, there will be few clouds. If there are, they will be light enough that the satellite will not pick it out. As we get through this afternoon and into tonight, the clouds will begin to roll in very lightly. Tomorrow, the cloud coverage situated in the west will push east into our area. It will be much more cloudy tomorrow, than today.
With these continued hot temperatures and drier conditions, fire weather watches and warnings are going to make another appearance. There is currently one Fire Weather Warning placed in two portions of the state. This warning is in effect until Monday (tonight) at 9PM. The counties effected are the following: Campbell, Crook, Fremont, Hot Springs, Lincoln, Park, Sublette, Sweetwater, Teton, Uinta, Weston.
The Fire Weather Risks have increased today. This morning, Gillette and Sheridan were in a Critical Fire Weather Risk. The Elevated Risk surrounded the Critical Risk, which extended as far south as Casper. Now, the Critical Risk has lessened up a bit and is only grazing the northeastern border of the state. We also are continuing to have the Dry Thunderstorm Risk in the northwest corner and along the western border of the state.
Temperatures are going to be hot again. This week is definitely going to be hot and very dry. High temperatures today are in the 90s for majority of the state. We will see high temperatures ranging in the entirety of the 90 degree temperatures. In the north and central portion of the state today will be seeing temperatures beyond 100 degrees. Worland and Sheridan are possibly reaching 104 degrees. We will cool down slightly tomorrow, but it will still be very warm outside.
