CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Although it feels like summer just started, it’s already time to start thinking about the upcoming school year. Natrona County School District wants to remind students, parents, and guardians of what needs to be completed before coming back next fall.

“I know it seems like we just began summer break, but we’re already looking forward to a great and upcoming school year so with that at the secondary level, which is our middle schools and our high schools, some of those fall athletics and activities...their practices actually do start prior to the first day of school,” said Tanya Southerland, the Director of Public Relations for Natrona County School District.

Any individual who is interested in fall sports and athletic opportunities need to make sure they have the parental agreement form filled out prior to the first day of practice. These forms are required for all students Kindergarten through 12th grade, but as fall sports start earlier than the first day of classes, those interested in these activities need to have them on file before schools starts.

A sports physical is also required to be turned in to your child’s school or coach before fall practices begin.

“So it’s important to get that form filled out prior to the first practice so if your student is going to be participating in a fall sport that starts in August now really is the time to begin working on checking off some of those items on the to do list,” said Southerland.
