What We Saw Today, And What We Will See Tomorrow
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Today was a hot day! Temperatures during the past week have climbed through 80 degree temperatures into the 90s. We saw and really felt those temperatures today. Even though it was hot, it was also a beautiful day. Sunny and partly cloudy conditions made the majority of the day really great. We saw a thunderstorm move through the area this afternoon, which started around 3P. This storm consisted of rain, thunder, and lightning.
The rain today helped to clear out the Fire Weather and Air Quality Warnings. Statewide, there are no warnings or watches in place. On the Storm Prediction Center Fire Outlook, the only risk is a dry thunderstorm risk in the northwest corner of the state. Though many people are not a fan of rain, it has done wonders over the past week by keeping the warnings down to a minimum.
Temperatures today were in the upper 80s to the mid and upper 90s across the state. The temperatures tonight will be cooling down to the 50s an 60s. Our low temperatures have been around this range for over a month now. Tomorrow, we will see temperatures continuing to increase. We have enjoyed our moments of brief cool downs, but those seem to be over for a while. High temperatures tomorrow will be seeing more 90 degree temperatures across the state. Cities in the north and central parts of the state could see temperatures into the triple digits again. If we thought today was hot, tomorrow is only going to be hotter.
