Cheyenne South hires new golf head coach
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (CHEYENNE SOUTH RELEASE) - Cheyenne South High School is pleased to announce that Michael Loveland will be the next head golf coach at Cheyenne South High School.
Coach Loveland grew up in Casper Wyoming and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 2007 where he was a varsity Track and Field athlete in sprinting and hurdling. He attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with a degree in Chemistry Education. He also holds master’s degrees in physics education and educational leadership.
Michael has been teaching for 8 years and most recently taught in Laramie where he was also the Assistant Golf Coach in the spring of 2021.
Michael is passionate about developing young athletes and he hopes to help grow the golf program at South. He firmly believes that golf is a lifelong sport that anyone can play with a little patience and perseverance.
When not golfing, coaching, or teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife Cody and 4-year-old daughter Layla.
