Bluepeak: Cheyenne’s newest innovative internet provider
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Bluepeak is making it’s way from South Dakota and branching out into the cowboy state. The fiber-optic internet provider is hoping to bring quicker, more affordable internet to Cheyenne and is confident the locals will appreciate their values.
“Price value matters. How they are spending their hard-earned money and what they are getting for it matters. Being local to the community matters. So you know, it fits the right profile for what we are today and what we will be on a go-forward basis but, no question, the competitive piece is a big driver of it,” said Chief Technology Officer Cash Hagen.
Cheyenne has a handful of internet providers, six of those offering fiber networks. Bluepeak is hopeful their arrival in town will spark some healthy competition and growth for the Capitol City. Hagen said the Bluepeak wants more out of the community, and wants to become invested in the city and it’s people.
Hagen said that internet services should not be something people should worry about everyday; it has become an asset in day-to-day living.
“You get up everyday, you go to work, when you come home from work, you don’t have to think about it. You don’t want to think about it. The devices connect seamlessly, the service works, you have appropriate bandwidth to whatever it is you need to do. If you’re streaming, or you have internet connected everything, it works. We believe we have the right formula of products, services and people to bring that to places like Cheyenne,” said Hagen.
Bluepeak is estimating they will break ground in approximately thirty days, and hope to offer services by the fall.
