Cascade Coffee holds grand opening Thursday afternoon
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - After weeks of a soft opening, Cascade Coffee had their grand opening Thursday afternoon at their 2nd Street location next to River of Life Ministries.
“I really felt like it was going to be an important part of having a coffee shop part of a church. But it’s like an outreach, it’s like a ministry outreach to the community. Not where we are like telling everybody about Jesus or something but just living it out, just living out the love that we have as Christians in this community,” said Wes Connell, the director at Cascade Coffee.
The Chamber of Commerce joined staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Cascade is a non-profit coffee shop. All proceeds go to the church to help support the ministries they are involved with in the community.
Cascade’s items come from a local roaster and a local baker, making it very unique to Casper. The shop features a book store and comfortable seating to make customers feel right at home.
“A coffee shop really helps provide a space...a welcoming space for people to come together, so we’re excited about that opportunity in our community,” said Connell.
Cascade Coffee is open Monday through Saturday.
