Natrona County School District suggests activities for summer enrichment
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Natrona County School District has a variety of activities that can keep kids cool and keep their minds sharp during the summer.
Tanya Southerland, the NCSD Public Information Officer, said there are community organizations like the Planetarium and local museums for the community to enjoy.
Some schools also do a jumpstart program. “It’s a program where maybe would be like a week or so at an elementary school where the kindergarten students can get acclimated to the environment,” Southerland said.
She added that there are possibilities for the other transition grades.
There are also driver’s education classes and the district-wide band. Summer sessions to make up credit are held in two different sessions. The final session of the summer starts July 26 and goes until Aug. 13.
