Miss Frontier and Lady in Waiting prepare for return of Cheyenne Frontier Days
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - On Wednesday afternoon, Miss Frontier, Bailey Bishop, and Lady in Waiting, Savannah Messenger, were involved in the filming of a music video celebrating 90 years of Miss Frontier. This is the first time, a music video will be produced ahead of the 125th Cheyenne Frontier Days. Wyoming News Now stopped by the shoot to see how Bishop and Messenger are preparing for the “Daddy of ‘Em All.”
“It’s an amazing feeling. I was worried, to be honest, last year that I was maybe going to miss out on my Miss Frontier year but I feel really humbled and grateful that I get to be a part of the historic 125th,” said Bishop.
Bishop was named Lady in Waiting in 2018, as Lady in Waiting for 2021, Messenger is also excited that the tradition is coming back to the Capital City.
“Last year proved that absolutely anything can happen, stuff out of the blue that you could never expect. The fact that we’re here and able to do what we set out to do is really honoring,” said Messenger.
As the ladies prepare for the celebration, they can promise the community that they will be involved in everything.
“We have our parades, our pancake breakfast, all of our night shows, of course the rodeo where you can see this guy (her horse) and Savannah and I. It is busy, busy, hustle, hustle, but that’s what makes it so much fun,” said Bishop.
It’s easy to see how excited the ladies are for the 125th Cheyenne Frontier Days, but their horses also made it clear that they are excited as well.
