Warmer Days Ahead
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
We finished last week with many days of afternoon showers. The beginning of this week brought cooler temperatures that followed those days of rain. The cooler temperatures were amazingly comfortable, with the sun shining through when it could and light breezes. I hate to even mention it, but those days are ending quickly. Much warmer temperatures have arrived and are sticking around for a bit. High temperatures across the state today are in the upper 80s and 90s. This morning started off fairly normal with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. But this heat is coming in hot and fast! In Casper, temperatures were forecasted to reach the upper 70s by 11am.
Temperatures like these are in the forecast as we continue towards the end of the week and into the weekend. More places tomorrow will be seeing temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. Most cities in the mid 90s today will be pushing upper 90s tomorrow, back towards the triple digit boundary. Thermopolis is forecasted to hit 99 degrees tomorrow. Torrington is forecasted to reach 101 degrees. It is going to be hot, and this heat will be here for a few more days. Stay hydrated and protect yourself from too much sunlight!
