CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -

We started off pretty foggy in Cheyenne this morning. The fog hung around downtown for a few hours before lifting out. Temperatures were fairly mild to start the day, with most of the state being around the 50s. We will be seeing a quick warm up starting today, after the brief cool down from the heat. High temperatures for today will start their climb into the 80s and 90s for majority of the state.

All week there has been a consistent pattern when it comes to the rain. Afternoon showers have been cycling on and off every afternoon this past week. In the overnight hours, all of the clouds and precipitation clear out. During the morning and early afternoons, clouds become increasingly more present. Then by the afternoon, we get to experience showers and isolated thunderstorms. To keep the cycle going, we can expect more of these afternoon showers to return today and tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the entire state under a General Thunderstorm Risk for today and tomorrow, as well. With the General Risk, strong gusty winds, heavy rain, and small hail are all possibilities.
