Increasing Rain Chances, Today and Tomorrow
A review from this morning’s forecast.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) -
Today started off comfortable and dry. Temperatures this morning were in the 50s for most of the state. Winds were calm. Random cities throughout the state had breezes at approximately 12-16 mph. This afternoon, we will see scattered showers entering our area. These showers will be fairly light and only stick around for a few hours. With the showers, there could be a few isolated thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the southern half of the state under a General Thunderstorm Risk for today.
The showers today will only last for a few hours. Afterwards, the rain chance diminishes, leaving the clouds to stick around overnight. Tomorrow afternoon, we can expect more scattered showers in the southern half of the state. There is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms tomorrow, as well. The showers tomorrow are forecasted to be around for only a few hours heading into the early evening. The Storm Prediction Center has placed majority of the state under a General Thunderstorm Risk for tomorrow. Again, we cannot rule out gusty winds or a chance of hail with these scattered showers/ isolated thunderstorms.
