CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Rain showers continue to push south through Wyoming as the short wave trough activates the abundance of moisture within our atmosphere. The Western side of Wyoming remain mainly dry with some areas seeing rain showers.

Tonight: expect rain showers to continue with a chance of isolated thunderstorms in SE Wyoming before Midnight. Afterwards, secluded areas may see some brief showers but we will see a break in precipitation with plenty of cloud cover for much of Wyoming, until we get into about Sunday morning. Furthermore, temperatures for many areas will hit below average as mid to upper 40s and lower 50s are forecasted for much of Wyoming. Winds will be at a nice breeze which will implore areas that are not seeing precipitation to crack the window for some nice cool air tonight.

Tomorrow: Temperatures will still remain below average, as we see more spring-like temperatures than summer as the cool air continues. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s for Wyoming. Expect more rain showers and isolated thunderstorms with periodic heavy rain. This will begin around early morning and carry throughout Sunday afternoon/evening. Reminder to keep the rain gear nearby and I would not recommend eating outside.

Overall this weekend will be gorgeous in temperatures, and for the areas that won’t see much precipitation, this will be a wondrous time to perform outdoor activities before we head back into Summer conditions.
