CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Workforce Services is launching their re-employment campaign to help everyone get back into the workplace now that COVID-19 restrictions are lifting.

As businesses and departments struggle to find and keep employees, Wyoming is ending their pandemic–related enhanced unemployment benefits the week of June 19, 2021.

The Workforce Services is here to help individuals with re-training, resume revisions, interview practice, and up-skilling their knowledge. There is also training money available and many other free services.

The agency has 20 Workforce Centers state-wide.

Wyoming was the only state that never shut down its Workforce Centers during the quarantine and they are still helping people get employed.

According to Jeff Schulz, manager for the Cheyenne Workforce Center, several employment companies are actively hiring.

“If I were looking for a job right now, I would be doing it today, because employers are hungry right now. This is the time to go out and find that job you really want, because they’re looking for talent,” said Jeff Schulz.

COVID-safe Job-Fairs are starting up on June 30th and will run every Tuesday and Thursday, with 4 different employers actively looking to fill positions.
