CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for much of Eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle through 10 PM tonight. With Warnings going out already of Severe Thunderstorms rolling east from Laramie, Goshen & Niobrara counties. Heavy Rain, Golf ball sized hail has been reported with these storms, along with wind gusts from 50-60 MPH. Expect isolated storms on and off throughout the rest of this evening and into the early part of tonight for SE/Eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle. These storms will continue to track east and impact much of the NE Panhandle and look to create a line of storms to sweep through as the evening progresses.

Tonight: As the storms clear, temperatures look to cool around the state opening up the sky more with light breezes. Expect a quiet night for the state once the storms roll out. Going into Monday, sunshine and light breezes however HEAT will be the main factor throughout the state. Temps will quickly rise into the 80s then 90s going into the early afternoon. Then, expect many areas to hit the 90 mark and Central/Northern areas to get into those lower 100s. We are going to expect seeing those temperatures remain HOT and well above average even threaten to set new records throughout much of this week. As ridging continues and the Hot air remains trapped by the stout ridge that proceeds to build over the next few days.

Remember to hydrate throughout the week, use your A/C, Fans, find shade where you can and take breaks. Avoid Strenuous activities and avoid keeping children or pets in cars during these hot temperatures. These are very dangerous levels to keep loved ones in the vehicles.
