CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - It’s no secret that Downtown Cheyenne is jam packed with events this weekend. One of those events includes the 2nd annual “Summertime on the Streets.”

The event is a partnership between the Downtown Development Authority, Small Business the Heart of Cheyenne and Realtor Luis Mendoza with RE/MAX. The event was originally created due to the pandemic and its impact on small businesses.

The organizations have teamed up again to bring it back to Downtown Cheyenne on Saturday June 12, with the same focus, supporting local businesses.

“Our community was so awesome and supporting but regardless, COVID has hit businesses really hard and so now more than ever, as we kind of transition back to the normal and new normal as you have it, it’s really essential to just make sure they can stay here,” said Cheyenne DDA Assistant Director, Haylee Chenchar.

The event will begin Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with a free Blossom Yoga session at the Depot. Then until 4 p.m., there will be live music, activities, special deals at downtown businesses and more.

For more information, you can visit the event’s Facebook page here.
