The Heat remains with rain & thunderstorm activity popping up in Southern Wyoming

SE Wyoming and parts of Central Wyoming could see more showers in the evening

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Another well-above average temperatures around the state as 90s and upper 80 degree temperatures swept through Wyoming continuing the heat wave average. A Northern Low is descending into Wyoming and will be cooling temperatures in the North going into Sunday giving a break from the heat in those areas. However, the Southern & Central areas of Wyoming will be remaining in the mid to upper 80 range with plenty of sun in the Central region.

There will be continued chances of rain showers and thunderstorms in Southern Wyoming throughout the rest of Saturday evening. Clouds will remain then gradual clear moving into the overnight hours with lows in the 50s.

Tomorrow, there is a chance of seeing rain/thunderstorms in Sunday afternoon for Southern Wyoming. Due to the lack of moisture, storms will be brief. Sunshine will dominate much of Sunday’s forecast and the warmth will be there in force. Remember to hydrate, use sun screen and with these hot temperatures, DO NOT leave children or pets in the car for an extended amount of time or at all if avoidable. Dangerous temperatures within a vehicle will come about very quickly in a short amount of time with these hot conditions.
