Cheyenne Community Recreation and Events Department announces the return of Fridays on the Plaza
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Earlier today, in an appropriate Friday fashion, Cheyenne Community Rec. and Events announced Fridays on the Plaza is returning to the Depot Plaza for Summer 2021.
In less than a month, Cheyenne residents can enjoy live music, food and drink and soak up the sun at the Depot Plaza. After cancelling the series last year, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Cheyenne Presents is thrilled to be making a big splash this year.
“We’re excited to announce our Fridays on the Plaza lineup today we have a diverse lineup of artists from across the country coming to Cheyenne. After canceling last year due to the pandemic, we were pretty bummed out, our team was as a whole, to not be able to put on the series. So we spent all winter rebranding, reaching out to bands across the country, and we are excited for the lineup we are bringing to Cheyenne,” said Jason Sanchez, Deputy Director of Community Rec. and Events.
The lineup is set to include a variety of white-hot performers, bands and genres. Sanchez said they will have everything from Reggae to Rock n’ Roll.
Rec. and Events said you name it, they will probably have it.
Fridays on the Plaza are also set to have five vendors each week for a variety of food and drink.
“Big thanks to our entire team of employees that put this together. It’s a team effort, and without that team and all of our sponsors, it wouldn’t be possible,” said Sanchez.
Cheyenne Community Rec. and Events reminds us that amidst the pandemic, if you are feeling ill to not attend. They also said there will be no smoking or pets allowed.
