Banner Wyoming Medical Center receives high marks for safety
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Banner Wyoming Medical Center received its third straight ‘A’ from the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. Leapfrog is an independent organization.
An ‘A’ means that the hospital is in the top 20% nationally.
The grade is based on 27 different measures including safe processes. It also looks at outcomes of patients and whether patients are satisfied with their care.
Banner Wyoming Medical Center Interim Chief Medical Officer Dr. Carol Solie said you have to score well in every category to get an ‘A.’
“I think it says this is a safe place to come and get healthcare,” said Solie. “An ‘A’ means you can trust us to keep you safe when you come here for healthcare.”
Solie also said that a “wide range of employees” deserve credit for the grade because of their commitment to safety.
