CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The Zimmerman Family Foundation, McMurray Foundation, and The Martin Family Foundation will match all donations to the Wyoming Rescue Mission up to $125,000 during the month of May. The goal is to raise $250,000 for the Wyoming Rescue Mission.

One of the reasons Gail Zimmerman and his late wife Anne started the Zimmerman Family Foundation was to support more local organizations. Gail said the Wyoming Rescue Mission was “one of Anne’s favorites.”

“The whole idea of being a charity is to expand your donor base, so that not every donor has to be a big donor,” said Zimmerman. “Every dollar is appreciated, and I think it makes people feel good if I say, ‘For every dollar you give, I’ll match it.’ So you get to give twice as much.”

Wyoming Rescue Mission Marketing Manager Jenny Stedillie said the support from the organizations and the community is “indescribable.”
