CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Taliah Morris was perfect last week.

On Friday, the East Track sprinter competed at the Scottsbluff Twilight and she went 4-4 in competition.

Individually, the freshman placed first in the 100 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Dash, and the Long Jump.

She was also a member of the winning 4x100 Meter Relay team.

That is awesome for sure. But Taliah is known for being more than just a great athlete. She is also East Track’s ray of sunshine.

“The kids love to be around her, she loves to be around the kids,” said Cheyenne East Head Girls Track & Field Coach Travis Eldridge. “[She’s] just always having a good time, laughing and joking. Today she sang a little bit for us. So, just a great young lady.”

Taliah said she wants to be thought of as more than just a great sprinter.

“I just like being a good teammate,” said Taliah Morris. “It just makes my experience and their experience better and I just rather people know me as like...a good person... and a good athlete.”

In addition to Outdoor Track & Field, Taliah is also a member of the Cheyenne East Indoor Track and Volleyball teams.

When she is not working out, Taliah said she likes reading and babysitting her younger brother.

Congratulations to Taliah Morris, Wyoming News Now Prep Athlete of the Week.
