CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Community members can learn and create with new 3D printers, sewing machines, leather making tools and more in the expansion of the creation station. This is all possible from a partnership with the University of Wyoming’s maker space called the Innovation Wyrkshop and the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Conrrado Saldivar, the NC Library adult services manager, said the creation station isn’t new, but there’s a lot of new stuff for community members to enjoy. “We were able to add the laser cutter, more 3D printers, an industrial sewing machine and more sewing machines,” Saldivar said.

People can take online training through the University of Wyoming or make an appointment at the Natrona County Libray for one-on-one help. This is the first time the creation station has been open in over a year and they are excited to get people back in.

“The creation station is open for all ages. We have seen a lot of people coming in to work on hobbies and create together,” Saldivar said.

This expansion is a state-wide effort with six other workshops across the state. The Natrona County Library will have introductory classes for these stations coming up.
