LCSD 1′s Student of the Week
“Just the work that she does in class is way above, it’s’ almost too hard to grade her, just because her work is so good.”
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - According to the selection committee, Barnett is invested in her education.
“I got like 3 credits from my online classes in one semester, it’s a lot easier to stay caught up than to fall behind. That was a major point for me. Making sure I turned things ahead, so that I have more time for focusing on myself and my job.”
After school, Barnett works with the younger children in her community. & members of the selection committee said. “She models mature behavior well beyond her years.”
“I want to be a psychologist, that’s an elective class that I’m taking currently. I work at a daycare, and a lot of working in a daycare is understanding cognitive development, and understanding the mind of someone that isn’t as developed.”
The sophomore Barnett, also says she has plans to graduate a year early in pursuit of her career goals.
