CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Fort Caspar Museum is welcoming the traveling photo exhibit “Barn Here” from the Wyoming State Museum. It will be on display through June 27, 2021.

It is a collection of black and white photographs of barns from around the state of Wyoming.

“We do these traveling exhibits several times throughout the year. We’re borrowing them from other locations. Sometimes even out of state,” said Museum Director Rick Young. “So bringing them in here gives people locally a chance to come see an exhibit they might not necessarily ever get a chance to see.”

Young said that the collection of photos is a “nice sampling of barns” throughout history in the state.

“Initially, you’ll go, ‘Well, a barn is a barn.’ Not necessarily true though,” said Young. “There’s sometimes climate differences. There are regional differences. There could be ethnic differences. Traditions and how different people build barns.”

Fort Caspar Museum will also expand its hours starting Saturday, May 1, which means it will be open seven days a week from 8:30 A.M. to 5 P.M.
