Six Cheyenne student athletes sign college sports letters of intent
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Five Cheyenne Central seniors and one Cheyenne East senior put pen to paper on Wednesday to make it official that they will be college athletes.
Below is each students name and a quote if interviewed:
Reese Robinson, Cheyenne Central, Black Hills State (SD) Golf Signee
Tiena Chu, Cheyenne East, Hastings College (Neb.) Track Signee:
“Already the new recruits for this year gave me their information, they all reached out and it was just really persuasive that they’re like a family like it is here.”
Isiaha Ahrens, Cheyenne Central, Ottawa University (Kan.) E-Sports Signee:
“I so when I went, their arena was really big: big screens, tables all over the place, it was colorful. It was really nice. I was really impressed [with what] I saw.”
Cade Burns, Cheyenne Central, Central College (Iowa) Basketball Signee:
“It just spoke to me and it felt like home. It was right by a lake, which I’m a fisherman, so yes, it was nice.”
Matt English, Cheyenne Central, University of Jamestown (ND) Soccer Signee:
“I remember right away, we to eat. We got to hang out with some of the players there...they were just real welcoming. Got to know them, got to know the coach playing with them I feel fit really good in with their scheme.”
Lawson Lovering, Cheyenne Central, University of Colorado-Boulder Basketball Signee:
“Out of all the official visits that I went on, I just had great feeling about it. It’s just like a gut feeling. It felt like home basically.”
